Where PacificTrade came from
PacificTrade started with a simple observation: the tradespeople doing the most skilled, essential work in our communities were still running their businesses the same way they did 20 years ago. Paper quote books. Calls to check availability. Invoices sent days after the job. Tax season panic.
Meanwhile, technology was transforming every other industry. Restaurants had seamless booking systems. Freelancers had invoicing apps. Retail had sophisticated inventory software. But plumbers were still writing quotes by hand at the kitchen table after a ten-hour day on the tools.
"I used to spend three hours every Sunday night on quotes and invoices. I knew there had to be a better way — I just couldn't find it."
That gap is what PacificTrade was built to close. We combined modern AI technology with a deep understanding of how trade businesses actually operate — the irregular hours, the on-site assessments, the need to respond fast, the importance of professional presentation — and built tools that fit around the job, not the other way around.
We're not a generic business tool that trades can use. We're a platform built specifically for tradespeople, from the ground up. Every feature — from the AI quote generator that learns your pricing, to the pending quotes tracker, to the fiscal year revenue dashboard — was designed with one question in mind: what does a tradesperson actually need?
We're just getting started. Our vision is a world where any tradesperson — whether they're a one-person operation or a growing company — has access to the same quality of business tools as the largest enterprises. Where the person who fixes your roof or retiles your bathroom can run a professional, efficient business without an MBA or a full-time admin team.
